Sony has leaked the next PS console release year in new official documents. The diehard PS fans were ready to spot that a potential timeframe for the new PS6 model had been revealed by the tech company and could leave the PS5 with a redundant legacy.
Sony launched the PlayStation 5 in November 2020 with a limited stock because of a lack of components. And the stock remained limited until late 2022. But releasing a new model anytime soon may not be good as most PS fans cannot get their hands on ps5.
However, Sony has a strategy for the PS6 console, and we have come across the date that the company plans to introduce the next-generation gaming console. As per the official Sony Documents, made publicly to the UK’s competition & Market Authority on its investigation of Microsoft’s attempt to acquire Activision Blizzard, these documents are personal, but because of the investigation, Sony has to make them public.
Further, a section of the document says that “By the time SIE launched the next-gen console (which is probably occur around [black out]). It would have lost access to CALL OF Duty & other Activision titles, making it awfully vulnerable to consumer moving and subsequent degradation in its competitiveness.”
Although the PS6 could be just a few years away, the company also claimed to continue making Activision games available on PS only until 2027. It means Sony PS6 will release after 2027, so it may fall into your hands in 2028 or 2029. It means that ps5 will long last for almost 7 years.
The PS6 console will likely come with many new features and improvements, including faster load times, improved graphics, audio quality, and more storage capacity. Stick with us to know more updates.
