OpenAI Released an AI Voice Assistant

OpenAI released an AI voice assistant on Tuesday. It is the alpha version of the new advanced voice mode for ChatGPT Plus subscribers. With this upgrade, users can make real-time conversations with the AI more natural and responsive by interrupting the AI mid-sentence.

At the Open AI event held in May, the new voice mode was previewed with the release of GPT 4o and looks more capable than ChatGPT’s current voice mode. According to TheVerge onstage, the employees of OpenAI ask the AI to tell a story in different ways, and they interrupt the AI, which takes the interruptions in stride to adjust its responses.

However, this voice mode was set to launch at the end of June. But OpenAI released an AI voice assistant on Tuesday and delayed it by a month. OpenAI said that “it was improving the model’s capability to find and trash certain content.”
