LinkedIn is Training AI Models Using Your Data

The social network LinkedIn is training AI models using your data quietly without asking or without any privacy policy. In a post on 404 media, LinkedIn states:

We may use your personal data to improve, develop, and provide products and services; develop and train artificial intelligence (AI) models; develop, provide, and personalize our services; and gain insights with the help of AI, automated systems, and inferences so that our services can be more relevant and useful to you and others.

Professional Microsoft network users first noticed the new option, which shows in their data privacy settings, known as “Data for Generative AI Improvement.” The setting option appears with an explanation that says LinkedIn and its affiliate’s permission to “use your personal data and content you create on LinkedIn to train generative AI models that create content.”
