Evolution of iPhone Models in Chronological Order [2007 to 2023]

iPhone Models in Chronological Order

The updated hi-tech development of Apple iPhones has dramatically influenced society globally. However, the Apple company did not begin with a strategy to change the basis of society. They just began with a simple idea, so if you want to know the evolutional history of the origin of iPhone models. Read the guide below.

The Evolutional Generation of iPhone Models

evolution of iPhone models

Apple initiated the development of the first iPhone in 2004 with a team of 100 workforces controlled by software engineer Scott Forstall, hardware engineer Tony Fadell, and design officer Jony Ive. However, the opening iPhone Model was launched in 2007. But before its launch, the development went through several years and different projects.

Here, we have shared the history of the origin of the first-ever iPhone model.

–An Innovative Way to Use Computers–

The birth of the innovative technology that would ultimately influence the iPhone did not start with an impressive vision. It happened with an idea to fix the most awkward part of a computer: the Mouse. Apple started the experiment in 2003 to discover a technique to substitute the Mouse with a touchpad that accessible more resistors and flexibility.

Their primary project (Model 035) is designed as a tablet size control by a finger that allows a user to touch, scroll, and zoom, which is unavailable on modern computers. However, this project was put aside when it turned out to be clear that Apple had some extra demands.

–The Oscillate of the iPad–

The iPod launched in 2001; sales quickly arose, and it became a favorite of customers and Apple. But Apple’s team knew its days were limited because customers were booming iPods and a phone.

So, to keep the company’s position in technology, Apple identified the need to stand up with the next generation of mobile phones before their intrants did.

–Apple’s First Step to Make New Generation Phones–

Apple’s first step in making the next generation of mobile phones was Rokr E1, released in 2005 with a partnership with Motorola. Yet, an iTunes-compatible phone allowed one to store songs and play them.

But inopportunely, it had noteworthy restrictions in that it held 100 songs, had a low upload amount, and had a bulky interface. That made Apple company strong that they needed to build their resolution.

–Apple Hidden Project Purple–

Apple’s research and development squad let go of all the projects, and this new mobile phone organization became their priority. The obstacle Apple had to overcome was building a team because they were obstinate that no one from their competitors discovered the Purple Project.

Accordingly, to avoid this, the Apple company ensured that no one from outside the company could work on this mission. Then, the team was split into two teams: hardware and software. The team’s hard work finally produced consequences when a design example was concluded in 2006.

Project Purple successfully developed a new iconic iPhone design that appears rectangular with rounded angles and a full-face glass display with a remarkable button.

The Evolution of iPhone Models by Year [2007 to 2023]

The CEO of Apple Company, Steve Jobs, at the Macworld on January 9, 2007, publicized that they would introduce a phone. Then, on June 29, 2007, the innovative new iPhone was released to the public. Which is the first touchscreen phone with an MP3 player (iPod) and internet communication.

Furthermore, the iPhone sold more than a billion phones in the first nine years. And the iPhone has transformed a lot since its beginning. With each new generation, Apple has worked to make the iPhone as technologically advanced as possible.
