Genmoji: New Emojis in iOS 18
Genmoji is one of the most awaited Apple Intelligence features unveiled at WWDC 2024 but officially released on Monday, Dec 9, with an iOS 18.2 update. This feature is an amalgamation of two words: Generative AI + Emoji = Genmoji. It lets you create your own emoji expressions with whatever prompt you ask for. You just have to define the character that you imagine, and Apple AI will create a custom emoji. Seems like Apple’s own Memoji but in your style.
However, Apple offers a big collection of Memojis or Avatars you can change as well, but sometimes you can’t find the right one that captures an expression you want to send. Genmoji solves this issue. Create and send your custom emoji to anybody who has a different iPhone and even to those who don’t have an iPhone. But for non-iPhone users, Genmoji will be sent as an attachment, and it does not look like a standard emoji.
