According to The Verge, Google was recently approached by Ray-Ban company leadership about putting its Gemini AI assistant in future smart glasses. However, recently, the company has had a partnership with Meta for Ray Ban Meta smart glasses. But now it seems like Google is trying to steal the Ray Ban partnership from Meta. It is also stated that EssilorLuxottica’s profit margin has been affected for an extended period because of global inflation and increased expenses.
Moreover, The Financial Times reported that Meta is in advanced talks with EssilorLuxottica, the European eyewear giant, to acquire a five percent stake in the company.
