In a recent post on X, Google announced Gemini Live is now free. This feature on the Gemini app that allows users to communicate with AI naturally is now available for free to all Android users in English. This feature was previously launched only for advanced subscribers for $20, but now all Android users can easily access it without any cost.
Moreover, Google said the latest feature in English will be available in ten different voices for users to interact with, which will help to boost their conversational experience. Gemini Live will also answer questions, talk back and forth, brainstorm ideas, and even dive into multi-turn conversations whenever you like. This feature is also a rival of OpenAI’s ChatGPT AI voice assistant and upcoming Siri redesign.
Gemini Live is now free and available in the Gemini app on the Play Store, which means it is only accessible on Android phones. But in the future, it will be available for iOS devices with more languages.
To use this feature, download the Gemini app on your Android device, open the app, tap on the Gemini Live icon, and follow the on-screen instructions to select the voice you want to use. Additionally, Gemini Live is now free but does not support accessing Gmail, YouTube music, and some other apps. However, users are expecting to see these capabilities soon.
