In a Post of Truth social, formerly President Donald Trump drew attention and shared a series of AI-generated images that falsely claimed that Taylor Swift fans were supporting his campaign. While two of them show a real woman who supports Trump named Jenna Piwowarczy, however, most of the women depicted there aren’t real.

She wrote: “Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation.” Moreover, in the same post, Swift announced that she would be voting for Harris, praising her as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” who fights for causes Swift believes in. The singer urged her followers to research candidates and register to vote.

Furthermore, Swift supported the Democratic Party in the 2022 election but has not publicly endorsed a candidate in the 2024 race.

Jenna Piwowarczyk said in a statement: “I know of so many Swifties who have conservative values and many, many more who have reached out to express their support and appreciation for the ‘Swifties for Trump’ movement,

She added:  “By focusing more on the AI photos than on the REAL person in the photos that Trump shared, I think the media are missing an opportunity to recognize that, of all the millions of Taylor Swift fans, of course, there will be many who support Trump and conservative values and also love her music. We exist. We are real.”

CBC News said that there were clear indications in some of the photos that they were AI-generated. The team found imperfections like a belt that had no buckle, distortions in one woman’s teeth, and the lettering of the words which was not matched with the folds of the t-shirt.
