Elon Musk Company Tesla is now upgrading the electric motor of Cybertruck. Tesla has informed a number of early Cybertruck owners that one of the electric motors on their Cybertrucks will be changed at their next service visit, improving efficiency and reliability for the motor swap. All Tesla Cybertrucks currently have two motors, but Tesla didn’t specify which motor will be replaced. However, speculations suggest that the automaker will correct a minor fault, which appears in the front motors, which is the cause of noise complaints.
According to a recent post covered by Electrek, the Tesla is now upgrading the electric motor of Cybertruck and early Cybertruck buyers are being informed by Tesla that one of the motors in the Cybertrucks will be replaced at the next service visit without any cost.
One of the early Cybertruck owners shared the message on the X platform, which he received from Tesla. As is shown in the text, Tesla claims that the replacement of these drive unit motors is only being replaced to increase efficiency and that it is conducting research on early production units.
However, a replacement program like this one appears to be a type of pre-emptive soft recall for drive motors that might be experiencing extravagant wear or rushed out during early production, leading to complaints later on.
