The Apple company manufacturers spread rumors of increasing the capacity and specs of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. This rumor has taken a high peak that involves going from 6GB to 8 GB. Moreover, there is a possibility that Apple will provide faster memory for this year, as suggested by the latest forecast report talking about future DRAM solutions.
A forecast from different sources highlights that server DRAM is expected to overtake mobile DRAM supply in 2023. In the report, the research company talks about apple having different plans, but the most noted plan is to upgrade RAM. They did not provide the exact specifications of the technology expected to be used in the Upcoming iPhone 15 and next-generation series.
Looking at the term TrendForce used, we should assume that apple will increase the RAM to 8GB on its iPhone 15 series, but it might be a change in pro-iPhone models for now. To remind you, Apple upgraded to LPDDR5 RAM technology iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max for the first time in the iPhone manufacturing history, while iPhone 14 & iPhone 14 Plus were retained at LPDDR4X. Moreover, all iPhone Models feature 6 GB RAM.
According to the forecast statement, Apple could switch from LPDDR5 RAM to LPDDR5X, and it might be a limited version of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Moreover, Apple might take time to maintain this kind of standard. That’s why the latest 2023 MacBook Pro family did not feature LPDDR5X RAM. However, in an earlier rumor, Apple will increase the more advanced built-in memory in 2024 in the upcoming iPhone 16.
